Here I Go Again--Blog Catch Up
Wow is it July already? I can't believe how quickly summer 2009 is going. This past May Julia made her first Holy Communion. She looked so beautiful in her dress and veil. Check out that gorgeous hair! Christopher looked so handsome in his sport jacket and tie. We had a fun party at home after with yummy food and lovely libations.
June saw the end of yet another school year. Both beauties were in class plays at the end of the year. Julia was the narrator for her play the Hesitant Hibernator and Chris was a fish in the Cow that Clucked. Both shows were awesome.
PES also had their annual carnival which was loads of fun. Julia was especially fond of the dunk tank and the not scary, at all, haunted house! Chris and his friends did some cool break dancing.
We attended a Rock Cats baseball game and all PES students were invited down on the field to sing America the Beautiful during the 7th inning stretch. It was so much fun!
Then June 19th we said ciao to another school year. I cannot believe that Julia will be in third grade in the fall and Christopher will be in first grade. This was a great year and both Julia and Christopher did so well on their report cards.
Christopher helped make pizza. Since Julia and Mommy do not eat pepperoni--Chris only put it on half. What a considerate chef!
Christopher had a great year of soccer and Julia ended her gymnastics year with an invitation to join the Level 4 gymnastics team in the fall...whoo hoo. Way to go Beauties!
So now that we are caught up...we have Disney in August to look forward to and a few more weeks of lazy summer days.

Just 'cause it's funny!
This video is from our summer vacation last year. We were exiting Univer*sal Studi*os Ci*ty W*alk at the end of a marathon theme park day. None of us was looking forward to the trek back to the car--I swear it was 5 miles away. We were all over-heated, tired and cranky and then Christopher just started dancing. It made us all laugh as only he knows how to do. Lately we've all been a little stressed for one reason or another so I'm posting this just because I think it's funny. Enjoy.

Happy Birthday Beauty
It's hard to believe but Julia is now EIGHT years old. The celebration started on Saturday with a trip to the A*meric*an G*irl Store in Ne*w Yo*rk C*ity. It was so much fun. The store is unbelievable. My beauty chose the J*ulie doll which San*ta brought. She is a super hip 70s chick. When we got there J*ulie got her hair done and her ears pierced (really)! We shopped until we dropped. J*ulie is a very lucky doll! We also strolled around N*ew Y*ork even stopping in and seeing part of a wedding in S*t. P*ats. We also watched the ice skaters. We capped off the day with dinner at the A*mer*ican G*irl C*afe which was really nice. The celebration continued on the next day with a small family party at home. Happy Birthday my Beauty!

It's About Time...
for an update. February finds the beauties enjoying everything that winter has to offer. Both are now skiing local black diamond slopes. As you all know I don't ski and I haven't seen the beauties ski which is probably a good thing since I would probably feel the need to wrap them in bubble wrap to protect them. Carol & Jim had a surprise birthday party for Big Jim. He was really surprised and thrilled with the party. We celebrated Julia's gotcha day, Anthony's birthday and KKs birthday at G*asho in H*awthorne while we shopped for a Com*munion Dre*ss for Julia. It was a lot of fun. Anthony took Chris for a haircut and he came home with BLUE hair. Thankfully it was temporary and washed out. Things have been busy around here but we love it.
